Making Things Happen

First, let me wish you a very happy and prosperous new year. Andhra Pradesh has done well in 2006 in IT/ITES exports (Rs 19,000 crores) establishing a new record. The growth has been highest in the country (over 50% where as national average has been about 30%). Let’s work together to continue this trend even though the industry growth is anticipated to be 20%. Our members are looking forward for the continuation of STP scheme which will benefit the SMEs and perhaps special SEZ schemes for SMEs.

It has been a busy year for HYSEA . We have started many initiatives which started paying off and you can find details inside:

Brig (retd) Hari Kumar has joined HYSEA as Executive Director. He brings lot of passion and dedication to the assignment. His experience as Managing Committee member for more than 6 years as well as familiarity with IT scene as Head of operations at Keane’s Hyderabad Development Center will greatly help. We are also plan to add few more juniors.
Mrs Neeraja Vijender also has joined HYSEA as Manager(HR & Communications). She brings in very rich experience in the areas of IT training and consultancy.
Brig Hari represented HYSEA in the delegation that went to Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and results are very encouraging. I returned the visit of Philippines delegation by spending four days in Manila and Cebu. Besides GITEX India and Infocomm events in Hyderbad in the 2nd week of January, we plan to send a delegate to ASSOCHAM’s visit to Sharjah.
Many forums have been initiated including:

Marketing Communications Forum headed by Shakti Sagar
CEO Forum
HR Forum
Project Management Forum
SME Survey has been initiated and results will be shared with the members in January. A SME forum will also be started.

The Technology day and Annual day are planned for March.

We will be starting the Leadership workshop series again. Many such new initiatives are in the pipe-line.

I look forward to your active participation in the above forums and in all HYSEA activities. Please send your inputs, suggestions, feedback, and constructive criticism to make HYSEA a dynamic and vibrant organization.

Yours,

Dr. Anil K. Jampala
President
