Venky Chennapragada heads the Software Architecture Practice at Keane India. During his 21 year professional career Venky has grown from a Software Engineer to a Solution Architect, Data Architect, EAI architect and spearheaded many successful implementations in various domains. He led many sales proposal campaigns in the US State Government Markets.
He began his career as a Scientist at Indian Space Research Organization, Bangalore Center and was behind architecting and building successful mission critical Solar panel Deployment Mechanisms for the first indigenously built Indian National Communication Satellite (INSAT).
Venky while working at MCI, USA was one of the Solution Architects in architecting a automated Vehicle Emission System. This system tests more than 70% of vehicles in USA. This system handles millions of transactions per hour and was responsible for cutting harmful emissions into atmosphere and was responsible for reducing fraud. Venky as a Data warehouse architect was responsible for building one of the largest data warehouses for the vehicle emission system handling terabytes of data. These DW reports were mandated by EPA in USA for awarding Transport Dollars to states. Venky was responsible as a EAI architect in building a HUB-SPOKE architecture for many fortune 100 companies using state of art Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS). Using the middle ware tools like WEB Methods the Enterprise’s ERP systems: PeopleSoft, SAP and ORACLE were integrated into AT Systems. Venky has MS (CAD) and MS (Computer Science) degrees from Kansas State University, Manhattan, Kansas, USA. He contributes regularly to Keane internal magazine and talks to press on architecture services trends and capabilities at various forums like NASSCOM, and educational institutions like IIITs.
