Boddapati Balaji

Boddapati Balaji, Director of ADP Private Limited (a wholly owned subsidiary of Automatic Data Processing Inc., USA) has over 24 years of work experience in the IT and BPO industry. Until recently, he has been responsible for shared services of HR and Administration of ADP India. His responsibilities include recruiting for the fast growing organisation, retention, development and training of associates, compensation and benefits administration, performance management, associate relations, brand promotion, administration, and travel & logistics. He has recently taken up a new role of heading the BPO services of ADP India.

He is an MBA from XLRI, Jamshedupur and a graduate in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Andhra University, Visakhapatnam.

He started his career with Microsense Computers Ltd. in 1983 as an Executive in HR management. Besides HR, he was handling administration and was in Marketing of PCs for two years. In 1987, he along with four of his colleague-friends started Intergraph India Pvt. Ltd., the first US Company having software development centre in Hyderabad. In 1996, he and the same team of four had set up and managed D. E. Shaw India Software Private Limited (a wholly owned subsidiary of D. E. Shaw & Co., USA). In 1999, a major portion of D.E. Shaw India was acquired by ADP Wilco, renamed as ADP Private Limited.

During his career, he has been especially interested in starting and growing with start-ups. Besides his core interest of HR function, he has handled a variety of functions including sales and marketing, administration, public relations, business development, and product development & services.

He was the past Chairman of Indo-American Chamber of Commerce (IACC), Andhra Pradesh – a bilateral chamber to promote trade and commerce between India and the US during 2002-2003.
