B. Krishnamurthy (BKM)

A Post-Graduate in Science (M.Sc) from Madurai University and Technology (M.Tech) from Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, BKM had done his PG Dip in Management from All India Management Association Delhi. He had done further internships / studies in Japan with fellowships from Hindu Hitachi Foundation and AOTS – Association for Overseas Technical Scholarships, Japan. Also was an Associate Research Fellow in a United Nations Development Program (UNDP) funded project at Carnegie Mellon University, USA for 4 months in 1994.

All through his career spanning over 25 years, he has been associated with three mammoth organizations covering both public and private sector. Started his career with Indian Telephone Industries at Bangalore in 1982 and was part of Switching R&D. Then he moved on to the Center for Development of Telematics (C DOT) during its initial years and has worked under the guidance of luminaries like Sam Pitroda. He was responsible for Technology Transfer of telecom products to various licensees around the Country. When he joined Wipro in late 97, he set up the Telecom Division from almost scratch at Hyderabad -this has grown to become a large business unit in 5 years. He has been playing key roles in Customer Relations / Retention, providing Technology focus and Business Development across the globe.

He has been the Integration Manager for the M&A of India R&D labs from Ericsson in 2003 and subsequently the Quantech Global services with Wipro during 2006. Quiet at ease is handling issues of Technology, Customer and People. Six Sigma and Quality are ways of life for him and not mere Corporate Tools. He has a passion to develop & nurture talent.

Currently he is the Location Head for the Wipro Development Centres at Hyderabad.

He has been a member of the Think Tank of the AP Govt to provide active co-operation among the Universities, Industry and the Govt. BKM was actively involved in formulating the operational concepts of Jawahar Knowledge Centers in the State to increase “job-readiness” of passing out students. He is also a member of the ICT Panel of CII Andra Pradesh.

BKM is also an invited speaker / faculty for Management & leadership development programs of professional institutions like Centre for Organisation Development etc.

 
Dr Susanta Misra
Director, Motorola Software Group (R&D), Hyderabad

Dr. Susanta Misra heads the Hyderabad R&D Center of Motorola Software Group, India,. The Software Center has over 800 engineers engaged in development of software for Motorola's products and solutions targeted to the global market. Dr Misra has been closely associated with Motorola's R&D effort in India from the very beginning. He was a key member of the team responsible for achieving the distinction of first SEI CMM Level 5 certification in 1994.  Dr. Misra has worked from India and USA. He has also worked extensively with Motorola's Software Centers in Asia and Europe.  He takes special pride in building the Hyderabad Center as a key Software Development Center for Motorola.  Some of his areas of interest are – innovation, building teams and organizations, career coaching/mentoring and  simplifying user experience in mobile handsets.

Dr Misra holds a Phd in Computer Sc from IIT Kharagpur, India and MBA from University of Texas at Austin. He is a US patent holder and is recipient of several engineering awards. He has more than a dozen publications in international conferences.

 
Sateesh Andra
Venture Partner

Sateesh Andra is a Venture Partner at DFJ focusing on Investment activities in India.

Sateesh started his Silicon Valley career in the early nineties and brings over 15 years of general management, marketing and engineering experience in the Software, Internet and Semiconductor technology businesses. He has hands-on start-up experience, having founded Metrikus (Persistent Systems) and Euclid (e4e). As co-founder and CEO of Euclid (e4e), he raised $35M in VC funding and was instrumental in acquiring, managing marquis customers and partners. Previously he has also served in marketing and engineering leadership roles at Tsqware (Conexant), LSI Logic, VLSI Technology (Philips) and Wipro.

Sateesh is a charter member of TiE, managing committee member with the Hyderabad Software Exporters Association (HYSEA ) and advisor to the Entrepreneurial Development Center of IIIT, Hyderabad. Sateesh holds a B.S in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad in India.

 
Dr Sandhya Chintala D
irector Education Initiative, NASSCOM

Dr. Sandhya Chintala has a rich background in international and national education management. She brings to NASSCOM over 27 years of professional experience in positions of management and consultancy for Governments, Universities and teaching, both in India and internationally. Her role at NASSCOM includes providing the roadmap for NASSCOM’s education initiatives and programmes with a vision to development of education strategy, capacity building & assessment evaluation & the development of industry standards, liaising between industry academia and government and thus making India the preferred global destination for all IT and ITES requirements.

Developing and administering innovative content, teaching and testing methodologies for both international and national curricula and multimedia courseware are her forte. She also excels in the design, development and deployment of face-to-face and e-learning solutions with reference to the products, processes and people required for them.

Her research, publications, and activities are related to the successful development and implementation of communication skills integrated with formal and non-formal methods of teaching, her publications and activities are also related to the successful development and implementation of ‘Quality Assurance’ performance indicators. Sandhya’s professional methods help identify knowledge gaps, reflect diverse learning styles, focusing on multi-level and multi-grade teaching in the urban or rural ambience, thereby encouraging an interest in, and love for, the subject concerned, hence aiming to reduce the urban-rural educational divide.

Prior to joining NASSCOM she was holding the office of the Director of various industry & academic organisations.

 
Dr. P Kiranmai Dutt,
Vice President - HR & Training

Dr. P Kiranmai Dutt has 15 years of dynamic national and international training experience. She has worked in the academics, government and private sectors, including working with the University of Cambridge, U.K., McKinsey & Co., and the state government of A.P., India. Dr. Kiranmai, who is conversant in both French and German languages, and possesses a working knowledge of Japanese, attributes her professional success to a deep passion for training and facilitating change-management. Her training expertise in voice and accent neutralization, soft or transferable skills training, culture sensitization training, and business etiquette training has led her to author under graduation course material for various universities in Andhra Pradesh, Bangalore and Kashmir.

Dr. Kiranmai is actively involved with local industry and academia. She is an invited speaker in various industry conferences, academic fests, and on various television talk shows. Dr. Kiranmai is currently the Chairperson, ISTD (Indian Society for Training and Development), working on similar lines as ASTD (American Society for Training and Development). She is also a regular faculty for the leadership training conducted by HYSEA (Hyderabad Software Exporters Association), and a guest faculty for communication skills at Center for Organization Development (COD).

Dr. Kiranmai contributes her thought leadership for strategizing sustainability and scalability of a few Non-government Organizations in India through mentoring the CEOs. The NGO groups are coordinated by Social Impact, a social entrepreneur mentoring organization based in the U.S.A.

Dr. Kiranmai's numerous academic degrees and achievements include a Ph D in Business English, a Bachelor of Law degree, Diplomas in French and German Languages, advanced diploma in Japanese Language, Certificate in Technical Translation in German Language, M Litt in Computer-assisted Language Learning, and Post Graduate diplomas in IRPM, journalism, teaching English, translation studies, and distance education. Further, Dr. Kiranmai is a certified Project Management Professional (certification by PMI, May 2007). She has also received Neuro Linguistic Programming certification (Richard Bandler, 2006). She is currently enrolled for an Exec.FPM program on Organizational Behavior (OB) in one of the premier B-schools in India-XLRI, Jamshedpur. This will lead her to secure a double doctorate in the coming few years.
