Unfortunately in India only 20 - 25% of the students coming out of the academic institutions are employable. There are many reasons for non-employability of the remaining 75% of the students. The academic institutions in collaboration with Industry and Government have to shift the focus from subject based learning to holistic learning. The holistic learning should focus on Subject Knowledge, Industry/Domain Knowledge and Leadership Knowledge. The integrated power of these three areas with practical based learning would improve the employability of the students. In this line PMI Pearl City Chapter (PMIPCC) has planned to conduct awareness sessions to Students on the importance of Leadership and how it will help them to excel in 35+ years of their future career. PMIPCC in association with HYSEA has conducted awareness session at Siddhartha Engineering College, Vijayawada covering the following characteristics of a leader:

1. A leader should be visionary and thought leader
2. A leader should be team player
3. A leader should execution champion
4. A leader should be continuous learner
5. A leader should be volunteer leader
6. A leader should be Communicator
